How do you introduce yourself at parties?
Person: What do you do?
ME: I study science and maths
Person: Like off big bang
Me: Yeah, except I get my own girls. *cough*

Do you think that mathematicians deserve the “geek” tag?
Only if its other uni folk saying it making in more of an in joke

How do you use maths in your work?
At the moment its crazy ideas with back of the envelope maths to see if the idea is feasible and cheap enough to work. So no easy build giant electromagnet so far.

What has maths done for you lately?
So far just make me see the world from a different angle.

Do you have a favourite application or theory of maths? And if you do, why is it so?
