Breaking the light barrier

University of Adelaide’s applied mathematicians Professor James Hill and Dr Barry Cox recently published a paper: “Einstein’s special relativity beyond the speed of light.” In it they provide a succinct account of a new relationship for two reference frames whose relative velocities exceed the speed of light. However, what occurs when these relative velocities are at the speed of light is still unknown.  To read their paper go here, and to read an interview published on ABC Science go here.
